What is Digital Storytelling?

It is a resource where people can create short videos based on different topics in order to share stories. It is a very innovative tool and combines images, audio, video, infographics, and other resources to create storytelling that lasts between 2 and 3 minutes in length. For that, the topic needs to be very specific. For example, if we want to talk about a book, we shouldn't narrate the whole book. In this case, it is better to focus on just one chapter of it.

It is a very engaging tool to use in class due to all the vast possibilities we can combine to create our video. Working in groups or in pairs, they must brainstorm all the ideas they would like to share with the rest of the class. Once they have selected one, it will be time to work on the script, plan the storytelling, and look for images. Once they have everything ready, it will be time to create the storytelling and share it with their beloved audience.

There are a lot of different apps or tools to create storytelling. To make it simple, I have chosen this one for you guys.

What to do in class:

Now it is time for you to create your own digital story telling! Working in pairs, you will choose a topic you like (e.g., jobs, bycicles, animals...) and using Adobe Spark (or any other) you will develop it. :) please, use the following log in credentials to get access to adobe spark:
